People ask what diet I did and get annoyed when I say pot roast, greens, and cornbread I made myself. Believe me, I tried everything else first. Weight Watchers three times, keto for nine miserable days in 2016, a juice thing my cousin sold me out of her trunk. I'd lose fifteen pounds and gain back twenty.

The thing that finally stuck was embarrassingly small. I decided I would cook supper at home six nights a week and eat it sitting down at the table. That was it. It came off slow over two years, 218 down to 158, and it stayed off because I never stopped cooking.

When we meet, we're usually both in our kitchens on video. We plan your week, we fix your grocery list, and sometimes we just cook together while you tell me why Thursday fell apart. Thursday always falls apart. That's fine. We plan for it.

I keep a running file of about 200 suppers that took me under 40 minutes.

Between sessions you send me one photo of your supper each night you cook. I answer with a heart or a question, nothing preachy. Availability: weekday evenings Central time, and Sunday afternoons for planning sessions, which are honestly my favorite thing all week.
